Harvey is Nearly Perfect, Mets Bats disappear, Baxter comes through late TWICE:

Game 29: Matt Harvey

The line: 9IP, 1 Hit, no walks, 12 strikeouts. Statistically one of the best pitched games ever. Unfortunately Mets bats couldn’t make it past Chi Sox Hector Santiago and ex-Met Matt Lindstrom before Harvey exited. As Doc Gooden says, He is the Real Deal. And who would know better?

Game 30: LaTroy Hawkins

Jeremy Hefner wasn’t as bad as his 6 IP 4 ER line indicates – he was essentially blooped single to death with exception of a leadoff Home Run by De Aza – but he wasn’t good either.  Hawkins gets the nod here as he had the most dominant performance of the relievers. Familia and Atchinson both made cases to be sent down for Frank Francisco, who needs to be back by next Friday at the latest unless he suffers a setback.

Game 31: Dillon Gee

Some votes from #MetsTwitter:

I will go with Gee.  — @TooGooden16

welp I would say Gee but only up to the 5th inning — @vinzska

Gee not a bad choice. Brandon Lyon also got out of a bases loaded no outs jam created by Gee with just one run allowed on sac fly. — @DevOnSports

As you can see, Gee was far from dominant. He gave up one run but left a mess in the sixth inning. However, he did provide five scoreless innings and seems to be slowly making progress to find his pitches again. kudos to Lyon, Parnell and Rice who all had strong performances. Latroy on second day of back-to-backs? Not so much (Home Run to Pedro Alvarez.)
