Games 56: Pitcher & Position Player of The Game: Gee, What a Blowout!

Dillon Gee finds his form as Mets bats beat up Haren and Nats.

Game 56: Dillon Gee

Hefner in Game 55: 7 innings, 4 hits, 1ER, 1 BB, 7 strikeouts.

Gee in Game 56: 7 innings, 9 hits, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 Strikeouts

The decision who gets demoted to AAA or pen for Wheeler may go down to the wire. Based on this season I would go Hefner. Based on his career i’d go Gee. If decision is to send one to bullpen…..I would probably say Hefner because he has experience and he doesn’t walk many.

Game 55: Marlon Byrd

The Mets bats came alive vs the Nats before they take another siesta vs the Marlins. Everyone in the starting lineup including Gee had a hit. Byrd got the big runs early in support of Gee with a 2 run home run in the second and a solo shot in the third to account for three of the mets five run in the first three innings in the 10-1 victory. Wright also homered in the third and Anthony Recker chipped in with three RBIs in the rare laugher.
